For the Adult Children...
We know you are experiencing a lot of feelings and changes as you watch your loved ones age. It can be a very difficult time. We all want to think our loved ones will live forever...that they are invincible!
Then, life hands us a scary dose of reality and we realize that the invincible ones are just as vulnerable as the rest of us. It’s disappointing, and that abrupt eye opening is disheartening as well.
You are now faced with their mortality, and in turn your own. We are faced with having someone who we could always turn to now turning to us. The tide has turned. The steady fountain of life long wisdom and help is now staring back at us needing our wisdom, strength and help.
OMG! What do I do now?!
Well, first, don’t panic. It will be okay. We are here to help you. We have survived this and you will too.
You will face a lot of challenges and changes on the road ahead. Just know, you do have the strength in you to help them out. And, with our help, you will hopefully be able to do it with grace and style.
You are going to feel like many things are out of your control. That’s okay. We will help you to find the things that can be within your control. As you get those under your belt one by one you will see that this too shall pass, that you can do this, that you will do this and that you will make them even more proud of you than they already are.
